1st Hunting Trip

Andy went on his 1st hunting trip on Monday. I let him go with Woody's brother Ricky (against my better judgement)dove hunting. Ricky had asked me a couple of weeks ago if Andy might like to go but I was not sure becasue he had never shown and interest before. I told him he would need to talk with Andy and I would let him decide. Andy told Ricky that he did want to go and was really exicited. Several of Andy's friends go hunting, so I think that is what he was thinking about.
We were not at all prepared for a hunting outing and I was not even sure what was needed, Ricky told me he would handle everything but Andy would need camoflage pants, shirt and hat, he would also need boots (we had those). So nothing like waiting until the last minute, we go to wal-mart after church Sunday night to purchase the needed clothing. I did not buy the expensive stuff because I was not sure if he would enjoy it or not but we did find what he needed and he was happy.

Monday morning came and Andy was very exicited and dressed and waiting on Ricky about 10:00 and he was not coming to get him until 11:30. I was thinking (hoping) they would not be gone very long but they did not get back until around 5:30, I was a nervous wreck.

Andy said he had a great time and is ready to go back. It looks like I am just going to have to get over my fears and face it, he is a boy and he is growing up!!!!!
