Not a baby anymore!!!!

Yesterday my baby boy Lucas turned 5!!!!
It is quite amazing and also very sad that I have to say baby boy and 5 years old in the same sentence, it seems like just yesterday (I know everyone says that)that he was born and now he is 5.
He has been celebrating for a week and I think he had a wonderful day(s), we have been celebrating off and on since Saturday.

He has been asking for a dirt bike, yes you read right a dirt bike, and believe it or not we found at Wal-Mart a 16' bicycle that looks just like a dirt bike but with training wheels. He absolutely loved it. When my dad called last night to talk to him he told my dad that he got a dirt bike for his birthday and that is when my dad asked to speek to me for an explanation. Who would have thought that at the age of 35 your dad could still scold you, he actually thought I had bought him a real dirt bike, good grief dad. Anyway Lucas was thrilled with his bike. So if anyone asks him and he tells you he got a dirt bike for his birthday, don't look at me funny it is just a bicycle!!!

Brianna at This Little Piggy Loves Ryan gave me a woderful gift today, I know I am truely not worthy of this honor but I will take it!!!

1. October is the start of fall and Lucas's birthday month.

2. Heights and mice scare me!

3. Leaves are falling all around, it's time to rake them up so the kids (we) can jump in them and have a good time

4. My favorite horror movie is none of them because I don't watch them.

5. Weekends at my grandparents house when I was a little girl = good memories.

6. It was a dark and stormy night and I made sure I was not home alone.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight cI'm looking forward to spending time at home and cooking, tomorrow my plans include a family reunion and Sunday, I want to go to church and rest a little.

Busy Month!!!

It seems like I am a broken record but I flipped my calender today at work and looked at everything I have going on this month and it is unbelievable. Not to mention work and school for the boys, we have something planned every Saturday this month!!!!! Wow, I can't believe that we do not have at least 1 free weekend!!! We start out this weekend with Woody's family reunion, the next is a birthday party for a good friend of mine's little boy, then on the 18th the kids have an all day harvest festival at school (which counts as a day of school, so they have to attend), the next weekend we are planning to have Lucas' 5th birthday party and the last weekend we are having inventory at work so I will have to work that weekend!!!! I am already exhausted just thinking about it!!!!!

P.S Boring post I know but I thought I would share!!!
